As an RN, I know that medicine is an art and a science. A good practitioner knows how to balance the two to provide optimal patient care. In Sept. 2006, I had increasing severe upper abdominal pain such that I couldn't even stand up. My wife drove me to Jeanes Hospital. After several tests, it was recommended that general surgery be consulted. Dr. Sariego was on staff and using his professional judgement recognized it as a surgical emergency. I credit him with possibly saving my life.
