About Me

Biography

I am a board certified and fellowship trained spine surgeon. I suffered a back fracture in high school and recovered from the injury to go on and become an All-American for Texas A&M University. I understand spine pain and the anguish it causes due to my own injuries. I treat each and every one of my patients like I would treat my own family members.

I had a spinal fusion surgery with another procedure due to Degenerative Disc Disease. I had been in severe pain for 4 years having back spasms daily. My life had been hell for 4 years. I should have found Dr. Evans sooner. I had been a downhill mountain bike racer, played golf and surfed regularly. 6 months after the surgery I am playing golf and riding my bike pain free. Have a vacation planed this summer for a surf trip. He has been a life saver for me and I would highly recommend him.

Dr Even is kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. I am a physician who depends on my arms and hands to take care of my patients. When my arm and hand went numb without warning to say I was concerned is an extreme understatement. Dr. Evens examined me and determined it was my neck and developed a plan of care. I am now about 90+% better and headed in the right direction.

Dr Even did an excellent surgery on my neck. I had previous surgery with another Dr that did not take care of the problem. He did a c2-c7 fusion and lamanectomy. I was in a lot of pain for about 2-3 weeks. Was really mad at him. Finally it got better and better. Not mad anymore. He is a great surgeon! Would go back if needed. Highly recommended...

After wading through the phone tree and finally getting an appointment The Medical Assistant, the Physician Assistant and Dr. Even created one of the best experiences with a doctors office and staff I've had. Friendly, helpful, timely, consistent, informative, great sense of humor. Dr. Even's discussion with me about my options was very professional, direct and gave me all the information I needed to make a decision about treatment. Very patient centered and respectful. Thanks to everyone.

I have been going to Doctor Even for 3 years. I have never left his office without feeling like he cared, he is always genuine, remembers small details about me and knows how to help. I've had to have surgery twice and he always makes me feel at ease .

I was experiencing pain and loss of function in my right leg. Steroid injections were helpful but gave only temporary relief. Dr. Even gave me several options including more steroid injections and some surgical procedures. I opted for surgery. The surgery was a success and I could not be happier with the result. Dr. Even is a good communicator and an excellent surgeon.

Dr. Even is a very nice guy. That being said I can't say that my visits to him were of any help at all. I am in constant agony and at my last appt it was kind of like well that sucks that your back hurts. See ya later. I'm looking for other solutions. I guess it's not bad enough for him to operate on so Bye Bye.
