Dr. Kinder's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Kinder "Dr Jeremy Kinder grew up in Edwardsville, Illinois. He went to Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois for his undergraduate degree and then went on to medical school at the renowned, Rush Medical College, in Chicago. After medical school, he went on to complete an internship and residency at Northwestern University. During that time, he served as the Chair of the Department of Surgery. Following his orthopedic residency, he went back to Rush and completed a fellowship in adult orthopedic reconstruction, which gave him a very unique level of expertise. Today, Dr. Kinder is known regionally and nationally for his expertise in joint replacement and revision joint replacement. Dr Kinder's road to orthopedic surgery is an interesting one. His grandparents were farmers, so he spent quite a lot of time on the farm and had the opportunity to work on the farm growing up. Through this experience, he discovered a love for building and working with tools. When he went off to medical school, he knew that he wanted to not only become a doctor, but he wanted to concentrate his work in orthopedic surgery. His grandfather had undergone a knee replacement and he saw firsthand how it changed his life. "That surgery was life-changing and my Grandfather was able to get back to doing everything he loved, for the first time in many years," said Dr. Kinder. Dr Kinder recognized early on that orthopedics is an area of medicine that has the opportunity to significantly change someone's quality of life. Hip and knee surgery, specifically, is where Dr Kinder focused his attention. He became a joint replacement specialist and ultimately someone that other doctors and patients turned to for his expertise in even the most difficult cases and revisions. With his fellowship in reconstruction, Dr Kinder enjoys revision joint replacements because they are challenging and it is satisfying when you have the opportunity to turn around a failed replacement. His philosophy on patient care is one where he likes to have his patients share in the decision making process. He gives patients all the options that are available to them and together they make a collective decision on what they will do next. Dr Kinder's love of working with his hands and using tools, doesn't stop in the operating room. In his free time he enjoys working on the restoration of classic cars and going to classic car shows. He also likes to take in the outdoor activities that make Colorado such a great place to live – hiking, skiing, fishing, golfing and going to the pool. Most importantly, Dr Kinder enjoys spending time with his family – his wife, who is also a doctor, and their two children."

Dr. Kinder recognized the problem right away and scheduled my surgery right away. He is...more
