I highly recommend Dr. Chapman, as a spine surgeon! He corrected my spinal curvature and scoliosis from 47 degrees to straight!! He was amazing! I was only in the hospital 4 days! He was very helpful in explaining all of my options, and very professional. I have utmost respect for Dr. Chapman!! Penny McG.

Some staff rude and some nice. We have not yet met the doctor ?? Will not do surgery until we find a place to live. need it done yesterday...been looking 3 years for a place and they think it will just happen cause they say so.
Dr Chapman is technically very strong in what he does. Period. That is it. Once done, he is done in his mind; not interested in hearing about any lingering symptoms or their potential impact holistically. His front end staff, eg scheduling surgery and insurance approval, are brusk verging on rude. (In their defense they did appear over worked.) Over the 11 months I was under his care, additional staff / head nurse were hired who were bringing a fresh approach to customer care and service.

Finally called from waiting room 55 minutes after my appointment time; no reasons for or apologies about the delay. Dr. Chapman - extremely knowledgeable, professional, businesslike - had a scribe writing all his notes so he could concentrate on the patient. Decided I needed surgery very soon, recited a litany of potential risks in a grocery-list fashion several times, You could die; you could have a stroke, you could be blind, ... Really knows his stuff, but no bedside manner to speak of.
