I was seeing Dr. Godsy for several years and happy, but did not realize how luck I had been to be a patient of his until a change in insurance prompted me to switch doctors. Boy was that a mistake! Needless to say, after trying several others, I am back seeing Dr. Godsy. Thanks Dr. Godsy for taking me back.

Bipolar Patients Beware! Dr. Godsy isn’t keeping up with the medical literature! SSRI anti-depressants should NOT be given to bipolar patients! Such meds drive bipolar patients towards mania. Yet Dr. Godsy has done exactly that to at least one bipolar patient! Said patient spent nearly a month in the mental hospital! If you’re bipolar, do not let him or anyone else give you anti-depressants! Signs of mania include delusions of grandeur. So if you start thinking you have “special powers".

This man is the most pathetic excuse for a psychiatrist I have ever met. I went to him for 5 years with depressive symptoms and he diagnosed me with basically everything under the sun and gave me 18 different prescriptions (that I remember) in 5 years. If you want to go sit in his waiting room at least 2 hours to see him then allow him to ruin your psyche, he's the man for the job! I wouldn't allow him to babysit a goldfish much less ever give me another medication or unwarranted diagnosis.

He is the most unsympathetic and unprofessional doctor that I have ever known. He gives his field of so-called expertise a very bad name. I had been a patient of that office for over 25 years and he dropped me like a "hot potatoe" and refused to help me in anyway because I would not play his silly games. I wouldn't take my dog to this man, so think long and hard before you even consider him as your doctor because I had to find out the hard way that all he cares about is the almighty dollar!!!
