Insurance requested a prior authorization. Over 15 calls and emails from the pharmacy and me and no response 8 weeks later. The front desk says there is nothing we can do.

I was his patient for 2 or 3 years now. In the beginning, I was happy with the practice. He is very approachable and good doctor. But his staff, and his scheduling is the worst that I've had. With the pandemy, he started with virtual consultation. Change that I was notified about, the exact day of the appt hen I was already there, parking my car, and ready for the visit. Then, the staff didn't finish in time the process for my pharmacy filling out the prescription, twice. My pharmacy called them with no success. The first time it happened, I went 3 weeks without one of my medicines. The second time, they had the courage to intent to hang up on me when I called with my complaint and the request to do what was needed. And after that so rude and unfair reaction, I said "at least you can say that you apologize for the inconvenience". Well, she said, " I don't think you need an apology"!!!!!!!! Lately, they are changing the appts for 3 or 4 weeks later, so I decided to get a new doctor.

Dr. Godsy He's an amazing listener, caring, wants to make the patient comfortable. Talks to them while writing the scripts so the patient doesn't feel odd sitting quietly waiting. He asks about how your life is going and he isn't a pill pusher. I have so much respect for this Dr. I have been seeing him since he received the practice from Dr. Sneed many years ago. I've been going here for 15 years +. Once the practice was passed down to Godsy, everything changed and he improved the Practice by far. Best psychiatrist I've ever had. I am still a patient to this day.

I didn't see Dr. Godsy himself but one of his NP's for my appointment. His staff introduced themselves to me and were polite. We talked over the phone for my initial appointment and I got a prescription for new medication which was good and I was happy with that. We were to talk again in a month to follow up and refill my prescription. Since the office called me for the first appointment, that's how I understood I would be contacted for the second. When the time came for the appointment, I did not receive my call and they missed my appointment and I have had no follow up since then - therefore, no prescription either. I have concerns going to a psychiatrist's office that does not follow up with their patients with mental illness.

I had an initial visit with Dr. Godsy today and I really liked him. He took plenty of time with me and also ordered genetic testing to see what meds will work best. I had no trouble scheduling an appointment and only had to wait about 10 minutes which I didn't think was unreasonable compared to other Drs I have been to. Staff was polite. I have nothing bad to say.

I was seeing Dr. Godsy for several years and happy, but did not realize how luck I had been to be a patient of his until a change in insurance prompted me to switch doctors. Boy was that a mistake! Needless to say, after trying several others, I am back seeing Dr. Godsy. Thanks Dr. Godsy for taking me back.

Bipolar Patients Beware! Dr. Godsy isn’t keeping up with the medical literature! SSRI anti-depressants should NOT be given to bipolar patients! Such meds drive bipolar patients towards mania. Yet Dr. Godsy has done exactly that to at least one bipolar patient! Said patient spent nearly a month in the mental hospital! If you’re bipolar, do not let him or anyone else give you anti-depressants! Signs of mania include delusions of grandeur. So if you start thinking you have “special powers".

This man is the most pathetic excuse for a psychiatrist I have ever met. I went to him for 5 years with depressive symptoms and he diagnosed me with basically everything under the sun and gave me 18 different prescriptions (that I remember) in 5 years. If you want to go sit in his waiting room at least 2 hours to see him then allow him to ruin your psyche, he's the man for the job! I wouldn't allow him to babysit a goldfish much less ever give me another medication or unwarranted diagnosis.

He is the most unsympathetic and unprofessional doctor that I have ever known. He gives his field of so-called expertise a very bad name. I had been a patient of that office for over 25 years and he dropped me like a "hot potatoe" and refused to help me in anyway because I would not play his silly games. I wouldn't take my dog to this man, so think long and hard before you even consider him as your doctor because I had to find out the hard way that all he cares about is the almighty dollar!!!
