Dr. Jennifer L. Kummer, MD

Orthopedic Hand Surgery | Female | 45 years old

My interest in medicine goes back to high school. In medical school, I became fascinated with the human musculoskeletal system, particularly the anatomy and intricacies of our hands and upper extremities. Most of us take our hands for granted until we are injured and unable to perform the most basic functions, most of which require manual dexterity. It gives me great pleasure to remove the pain and restore full function to someone who has suffered a hand or wrist injuryRead more

Dr. Kummer recommended and performed surgery on my wrist due to a ruptured scapho-lunate ligament and resulting arthritis. I did not get the outcome I expected. The wrist is now more painful than before surgery, and my range of motion is limited. Very disappointing; I would not recommend this surgery.

Competent, patient, caring doctor. She has treated me several times surgically and non-surgically, and I don't hesitate to return for treatment. She explains the details well so you understand the treatment and can make informed choices.
