Dr. Hertz is a top orthopedic surgeon serving patients in the Greater Los Angeles area at her centrally-located practice on Wilshire Boulevard. Specializing in conditions of the elbow, forearm, wrist and hands, Dr. Hertz uses the most advanced techniques to treat an array of simple and complex conditions, including fractures, nerve injuries, nerve compression syndromes including carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis and golfer's elbow, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, vascular disease and injuries, ligament and tendon injuries and lacerations, overuse injuries, infections, nail deformity, and nail bed injuries. With extensive training in both conservative and surgical treatment of orthopedic issues, Dr. Hertz believes in providing each patient with individualized care based on each person's unique medical needs, lifestyle habits, treatment objectives and other factors. Dr. Hertz earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by her medical degree at Keck School of Medicine of USC. She completed her surgical training with an orthopedic surgery residency at LAC USC Medical Center followed by a fellowship in hand and upper extremity and microvascular surgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center – Jefferson University Hospitals. She also served as volunteer coordinator at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and participated in the Medical Scholars program. Dr. Hertz is committed to continuing her professional education and learning about new developments and novel methods of treatment so her patients have access to the broadest range of state-of-the-art care options. She maintains active memberships in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and attends lectures and teaching events to remain abreast of the most recent developments in her specialty area and in general orthopedics.
