I am originally from South Florida and have been living in the Triangle since 2010. I am board certified in internal medicine and enjoy caring for patients with a wide variety of conditions as well as healthy patients interested in disease prevention. I have a special interest in women's' health heart disease and mood disorders (depression anxiety and bipolar disorder). I am deeply committed to both the care of my patients and the training of medical students and residents. I prefer a collaborative approach in which my patients feel empowered to participate in decisions about their own medical care. I actively coordinate and communicate with specialists in an effort to centralize my patients care. I strive to serve as a thoughtful steward of the rich resources available to me within the Duke network and care for each of my patients as I would a cherished member of my own family.Read more
