Lowell Oral Surgery Associates, Inc. has served the local community for more than 50 years, and Dr. Stone has been an integral part of the growth of the practice. He joined the practice 35 years ago, and has seen it expand into Nashua, NH and then last year Chelmsford, MA. The founding principles, and the ones that guide Dr. Stone are providing quality and comforting care to patients while using the most advanced technology available today.
The combination of attentive and personalized patient care and continually incorporating the newest advances in dental and surgical technology ensures that patients receive the best possible care in the shortest time frame.
Dr. Stone has taken out wisdom teeth on teenagers, and then years later removed their children's wisdom teeth. He has been a staple in the community since 1982, and continues to learn and grow as new techniques and technologies help him continually raise the level of care for patients.
Dr. Stone, a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, joined Lowell Oral Surgery Associates in 1982 and currently divides his time between our three offices. A graduate of the University of Kansas, he received his DMD and MD degrees from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard Medical School.
After completing his Oral Surgery and General Surgery training at the Massachusetts General Hospital, he was named Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He later returned to the Boston area to serve as Clinical Instructor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Dental School. He was still active in that position during his early years working for the practice.

He received the "Committee Person of the Year" Award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) in 2006 while serving as Chairman of their coding and Healthcare Advocacy committees.
