My knee was bone on bone. I couldnt walk without severe pain. Dr. Shapiro first gave me a Iovera treatment a week before surgery to help with nerve pain. Surgery was on a Tuesday at LIJ, went home Thursday only taking Tylenol and walking with a cane. I received PT at home for 2 weeks and then 12...more

Dr. Shapiro is a amazing doctor! I am 77 years old and my knees were failing and I knew I wasn't going to have quality of life if I didn't have total knee replacement surgery done. July '17 I had my first knee done and Dr. Shapiro did a amazing job that I went for the other knee 9 months later....more
