I was immediately & immensely impressed with Dr Jeffrey Shapiro's stellar clinical expertise - both in regard to his surgical acumen as well as conscientious follow-up! Yet I have become even more appreciative of his professional EXCELLENCE in the time since the major rotator cuff repair he performed (Oct '15) to ensure FULL recovery & use of my right shoulder!! I've had the capacity to use my arm with abandon ever since, doing so both fluidly & flexibly -- with NARY a hint of Pain! Am Enormously GRATEFUL & will Forever APPLAUD Dr Jeffrey Shapiro for having ensured that I remain So Remarkably & Amazingly unfettered by such a horrendous injury as I sustained when I fell from a deck onto a brick walk - now years ago!! I'm So FORTUNATE to have been the BENEFICIARY of his Truly SUPERB & EXCEPTIONAL CARE!!!

My partial knee replacement surgery by Dr. Shapiro required revision surgery due to an improperly positioned implant. About four months after surgery my knee was swelling and very painful. After two additional visits, Dr. Shapiro ordered both x-rays and an MRI and still failed to identify the cause. I located a new surgeon and upon the very first meeting my new surgeon took a simple x-ray and immediately observed incorrect positioning of the implant. My new surgeon also stated that I was never a good candidate for partial knee replacement surgery as other parts of my knee were on the verge of wearing out as well.

Shocked to see negative reviews on here. I guess you can't please everyone. I was very impressed by the office, staff and Dr. Shapiro. He's a great guy and has me on my way to a speedy recovery after an ACL tear. Thank you Dr. Shapiro!!

Dr. Shapiro performed total knee replacement surgery on my right knee in late January. I am very satisfied with the results and my recovery has gone better than expected. Although face-to-face time with Dr. Shapiro is minimal, he is a highly skilled surgeon with a specialty in treating knees.

Excellent sports med orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Shapiro is a direct, no nonsense guy. But I like that he was very clear in diagnosing my situation, what could be done to fix it, and recovery. He also instilled confidence in me throughout the process that surgical corrections would leave me as strong as ever. (ACL ligament replaced, and with aggressive PT, I was back skating in less than 6 months)

He has very poor bedside manner. He was short, appeared agitated and asked what I wanted to do instead of sharing the best course of action for me.

I agree with the previous comments about Dr. Shapiro being curt & seems bother by seemingly ridiculous questions. He gave me 2 choices for course of action for my knee problem. When asked for his opinion he told me he could not tell me & left it up to me to choose my path. The choice I made ended up being the worst decision of my life. 3 opinions afterwards all told me this surgery should have never been done (one said "no one in their right mind would have done this surgery). Horrible experienc

Dr. Shapiro performed my median meniscus removal knee surgery. He was very curt, seemed bothered by my questions after the surgery and prescribed a pain medicine that I was unable to get filled at my local CVS and Rite Aid after my surgery.

Poor bedside manner and did not take time to explain what he did during surgery. He also wrote a pain killer script that could not be filled and so had to suffer through it.

5 years ago surgery was done on my daughters shoulder and she still had a lot of pain. He redid the surgery and the procedure was not successful. I personally heard him talking to the insurance company and he said "don't worry I will make sure she passes the exam to go back to work. I will send her to a doctor to take care of that". I confronted him and of course he denied it. My daughter still has pain an it has been 5 years and I have been trying to find out what cane done. BEWARE

Dr. Shapiro operated on a serious rotator cuff injury on my father. I was there for the consult and we were immediately comfortable. The surgery went very well and my dad is doing great. The whole experience with the doctor and his office/staff was pleasant and efficient.
