9 yrs. ago when my husband was transferred to the heart transplant unit, Dr. Schwartz suggested an aortic valve replacement. At that time, Dr. Schwartz was prepared to use a ventricular assist device as a bridge to transplant. Due to Dr. Schwartz's expertise, it wasn't needed, and today, my husband has normal valve function with only the valve replacement. Dr. Schwartz is an excellent surgeon who saved my husband's life.
