I had my first knee replacement in July of 2018. The surgery was performed by Dr. Kalo at the recommendation of my regular doctor. When my other knee became into a condition that required replacement, the only surgeon I was going to use was Dr. Kalo. I appreciate his directness of talking about my situation and procedure(s). We also have fun trash talking about the Vikings-Packers rivalry. I look forward to my surgery, now less than two weeks away. His staff is also as friendly and dedicated as he.

I appreciate that he did my surgery during the pandemic when I was in such pain. My mental health was at risk. The pain from surgery was nothing compared to what I was living with.

I had a total knee replacement, and everything went perfect. Dr. Kalo explained the procedure and what to expect during my recovery time. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother or more professional procedure. The entire staff from start to finish were the best!

Dr. Kalo and his staff are always wonderful to work with. Dr. Kalo takes the time to explain what is wrong and how he is going to fix it before doing anything, he doesn’t sugar coat anything and I appreciate that about him. His NP Tammy is so kind and always willing to answer questions. His nurse Brooke is very pleasant, she is always good about getting back to you in a timely manner when you call into the office and always takes the time to sit and listen to you and your concerns. I would highly recommend this team to anyone and promise you that you will not be disappointed in the care that they give.

Dr. Jeff Kalo has done three invasive surgery's on me in the past five years. Him and his staff are incredibly professional and the the customer service is phenomenal! As a surgeon, he is the best I have ever seen and I throw his name around like a baseball and those that know of him have nothing but great things to say. The O.I. team in Sioux Falls are by far the top Orthopedic teams I know of. I have even been in conversation about the O.I. team and Dr. Kalo with some athletic staff at the University of Nebraska. As a former football coach in the Sioux Falls area I can attest to the professionalism of the O.I. staff. In my recent visit having total hip replacement, Dr. Kalo and his staff were second to none!

This physician listens closely to your description of your signs and symptoms. Because of his years of expertise, he forms a diagnosis and explains how he rules other problems out. Then he decides the best method of treatment and seeks your understanding and permission. He creates an atmosphere of a team and explains what he needed for us to do, in order for me to heal after a total knee surgery. He speaks quickly but precisely. So listen carefully, but never be afraid to admit you don't understand something. He wants the very best for the people he cares for. Thank you Dr. Kalo,

Dr. Kalo and his staff are very knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Kalo and Tammy his Nurse Practitioner really takes the time to sit down with their patients and explain what is wrong in terms that you can understand. When I called the office after my knee scope, I spoke to his nurse Brooke and she was very friendly took the time to listen to my concerns and gave a quick response to help me out. Lindsay his scheduler was also very pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend Dr. Kalo and his team to anyone that is struggling with orthopedic issues, you will not be disappointed with their care and high level of customer services these guys deliver.
