His extensive experience working with a number of orthopaedic practices in the country makes him a talented member of the SportONE team. Dr. Hartzell began his medical journey at DePauw University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Physics in 1998. He then continued on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Florida, and his Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship from the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, with Dr. James Andrews. Dr. Hartzell cares for many high school athletes throughout northern Indiana. He also has prevalent experience with athletes throughout Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the PGA and numerous universities such as the University of Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Troy and Arkansas State. Jeffrey is a member of multiple affiliations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He has given multiple lectures on topics related to sports medicine throughout Indiana, the United States and internationally.
