Dr. Gift is an excellent neurologist who is very knowledgeable and concise. I am guessing that his terse manner is a reason for some of the more negative reviews here. He is treating me for narcolepsy and, having had conversations with many other narcoleptic people, I consider myself very lucky to have found a doctor that understands the disorder, listens to my concerns, and takes me seriously. I appreciate his "to the point" manner, and am I would not consider changing doctors.

I was suffering from migraines and dizziness. After being seeing by an ENT, I was referred to Dr. Gitt for the migraines, and the pinch in my neck with consequential dizziness when tilting my chin up. The first visit he only addressed the migraines and didn't want to discuss the other issue. It was a joke trying to get "notes" between him and his nurses and myself. At the next visit when the pinched neck was addressed his response was "just don't do it." Seriously?!? Don't waste your time.

First visit, I had to update this doctor with quite a bit of past medical history. He listened & when I got his report from that visit, everything was accurate of past history. My trust grew further when we got back scans & his diagnosis were accurate plus his recommendation for things scan showed that weren't known before. I find this doctor very trustworthy, professional & highly recommend him.

      Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.
