Procedures Performed

Dr. Fowler says..

Heart Disease is the number one killer of Americans each year.  More people are affected by heart disease than all cancers combined.  When I chose to pursue a career in cardiology, I knew I would have the opportunity to impact the lives of many, many people.  As my training progressed I discovered the specialty of electrophysiology, which is a cardiologist who has specialized training in the electrical system of the heart.  This subspeciality provides me with an opptorunity to provide lifesaving treatment for an array of cardiac conditions while also providing the opportunity to provide potentially curative therapies for certain cardiac rhythm disturbances.  Cures in medicine are often elusive, and electrophysiology is one of the few specialties in which they are actually fairly common.

Why Does Experience Matter?

Even specialists specialize. One orthopedic surgeon might do nothing but hip surgeries, while another does nothing but knees. If you want the best possible care, it’s critical to match your medical need with the doctor who truly specializes in treating it.

Dr. Fowler's Care Philosophy

The world of medicine can be a scary place.  Patients can feel vulnerable and anxious as physicians are in a position of power and expertise in given fields of medical practice, even speaking their own medical language.  My goald as a provider is to break down those traditional roles and form an alliance between patient and physician where we tackle medical challenges together as a team.  I pride myself in my ability to explain complex medical conditions in the simplest terms possible so that patients fully understand their diagnosis, its significance, and the opptorunities for treatments, oftern times potentially curative treatments.
