His Orthopedic Residency training was completed at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Dr. Dobyns is board certified with the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. As a member of the CHOC and St. Joseph Hospital Orthopedic medical staffs, he is active in hospital, emergency, and outpatient care. Dr. Dobyns is currently Chairman of the Orthopedic Department at St. Joseph Hospital for the 2010-2011 years. He is also the Director of the CHOC Fracture/Trauma clinic. Dr. Dobyns' practice expertise includes adult, adolescent, and childrens' care, including fractures, sports medicine, arthroscopy, arthritis, total-joint replacement, and joint injuries. He likes to spend time with patients and will attempt non-operative treatment whenever possible."

I'v been a patient of Dr Dobyns for two total anterior hip replacements. The operationes where three years apart. Dr Dobyns is one of the few doctors that do an anterior approach when possible. This way is much less damaging to the muscles as they are not cut, the healing time is less then half the...more

Agree with most of the reviews I have seen. This doctor does not like his job. Spends less than 10 minutes with you and in my first visit he was out the door before I was! He quickly diagnosed me without real evidence and sent me packing to physical therapy. I am still to this day in extreme pain...more
