Dr. Cassidy explained things well and allowed us to take a more conservative approach (non-surgical) with physical therapy and bracing. After a year and a half it became apparent that the scoliosis continued to progress and she would need surgery. My only complaint was that our surgery was the day after Christmas and the office was closed so when the nurse gave us a different medication schedule, there was no one available to confirm the changes - however, it was New Years and I understand the fault was more in the timing of the surgery. They were very compassionate throughout the whole process and treated my daughter as an adult talking to her as well as me.

BEWARE! He is not good with soft tissue injuries. His suggested treatment of a walking boot just made daughter much worse. He refused to order an MRI, until we threatened him and insisted he put his refusal in writing. MRI showed tendon rupture in ankle. If we hadn't insisted on that MRI, our daughter would've ended up not getting her injury treated. When we saw MRI, we asked him for a referral to a foot/ankle specialist, which he then refused to do. What a piece of work!! Stay clear!

I would not recommend Dr. Cassidy as that my daughter had an x-ray and was referred for scoliosis (I actually asked to see his office versus going to Bronson), it took 3 months to get in and then the office wanted to repeat the x-ray. The nurse said it is protocol, I tried to explain why I did not want my daughter to have another x-ray. I was not listened to and they did the x-ray anyway. AMAZING, no changes in the x-ray! Contacted patient relations and I guess you can not disagree with a MD
