I had a partial knee replacement and it is doing great. The entire staff at Mississippi Sports Medicine is great. The wait time for a appointment is very short. I had back surgery 2 years ago and used MSM then.

In explaining my symptoms Dr Almand was aware of my pain. Just wished he had a more definitive answer as how I could get some relief. Now going for a third opinion from knee to hip and now back. I hope after I see Dr Calvert the three of them can give an answer to my pain.

I have been extremely pleased with the care that I received from Dr. Almand. I had a partial knee replacement in 2011 on my right knee and a total knee replacement on my left knee in January 2019. Things are going really well. There is lots of pain but Dr. Almand and staff explained each step and provided adequate medications with instructions on pain management. Thanks Dr and Sports Medicine for being patient, caring and engaging throughout the process. Alfrenett Johnson-Orr

Dr. Almand is an excellent surgeon. I returned to him for my second knee replacement. He spends a lot of time explaining whatever information you need. He changed my surgery from outpatient to in the hospital. I was more comfortable having my surgery in the hospital. I have done well with my recovery both times due to Dr. Almand’s skill.

I had a partial knee replacement on my right knee in February 2018 and a partial knee replacement on my left knee in November 2018. I had a tough time with recovery with my first surgery but my second surgery was much better. Dr. Almand tells me this sometime happens. I did have extensive bruising, from my ankle to groin area, with my first surgery and complications with nerve issues. I was told this this was due to either the pain block or tourniquet during surgery.

Great experience and outstanding doctor. I had my right hip replaced as an outpatient and was back at work in less than 1 week. Incredible team and awesome surgeon. If you’re considering hip replacement, don’t wait. My pain is gone and I’m back to normal, workouts and all, at 3 months.

I had waited a year and half for the VA to do something; all I got was pain meds. On my first visit to Dr. Almand he said when can you do surgery. 3 weeks later I had a new hip and within months was back at work. Thank you Dr. Almand for your dedication, attention to detail, and 'get er done' attitude.
