67 year old female with 47° curvature of spine, active, can play tennis, but lots of trouble with standing and walking with severe lower back pain severely impacting quality of life. Dr. Turner examined my MRI, CAT, and two X-rays saying he could take the curve away with a much larger fusion with a 50% chance of success. Took my chance because of deterioration of quality of life and wanting to remain active. My back operation was a complete success. Able to stand and walk without pain and able to return to tennis. Dr. Turner is such a kind, realistic, level-headed, and extremely capable surgeon that has done many of these types of operations each year.

Initially, Dr. Turner, refused to see me or speak to me as I indicated in a previous one star review. It turns out that he did not have my complete file; once he did, he realized how serious my condition was and immediately scheduled me for treatment. I have recovered from surgery now and I’m doing very well. Dr. Turner, did an excellent job. I thank him and his staff very much for all of their assistance and hard work.

I had back surgery six months ago and it was life changing. No more sciatic pain! Dr. Turner was very thorough. I tried less invasive methods to relieve the pain, and when nothing helped, he explained surgical options. When I decided on spinal fusion he ordered various tests (heart, etc) to make sure that my body could withstand the surgery. The hospital experience was fine, and recovery has been good. I walked over two miles yesterday! Thank you, Dr. Turner

Extremely satisfying. Dr Turner was incredibly thorough and took a significant amount of time answering our questions to help with our decisions regarding surgery. His attitude is clearly “I am here for you”. The surgical experience was also very thorough and positive, with consultations every step of the way. We appreciate the fact that St Joseph’s is a teaching hospital and welcomed the students who participated and who will clearly benefit from having such a strong mentor.

Dr. Turner came into my life about 2 years ago when in my late 50’s my spine started to bend and eventually tipped my entire body to the side. Our first appointment with Dr. Turner was filled with lots of questions and fear. He spent over an hour with us answering all of our questions and assuring me that he could help me and give me my life back. Surgery was within a month and was over 10 hours long. I can say that without a doubt Dr. Turner has been the most caring, considerate, companionate doctor I have had in my life. He is a good listener and. Gives you the time that you need to get your answers and feel comfortable about your health. I would give him 50 stars if I could. Dr. Turner’s support staff are very helpful and fun. They have always done their best to accommodate my needs or concerns. Not easy to find that around, but defiantly here!!

I've been a Professional golfer for 25 years and have had severe lower back pain for 20 of those 25 year. I had been mis-diagnosed since 2000 and it seriously affected not only my playing ability but everyday activities were quite challenging. Dr. Turner did my spinal surgery with severely damaged nerves and he did the impossible. He not only fixed my nerves and back pain but I'll be the first Tour player to return to professional golf and I really owe my life to him. He is an amazing Dr.

Looking forward for 11 months for appt. Demanded I get a MRI, CAT, Bone density n lab work prior to appt. He is a Dr. Little referral, great doctor. Dr. Turner was arrogant, and instead of writing or calling me, decided he wouldn't perform surgery. Disrespectful. Stigmatized me for pain meds I am taking. I was overwhelmed, and it was so different from Dr. Little. Scoliosis, spondylosis, DDD, bone on nerve root. I've fired many doctors since cancer. He for sure is on top of list.

My layman's evaluation of Dr. Turner, as both a surgeon and a caring, insightful doctor, on a scale of 1 to 10 is an 11. My quality of life since my only-weeks-ago laminectomy is greatly improved. And my treatment, from the initial stenotic-spine evaluation, through the surgery, and to include the post-op follow-up, has been exemplary. My praise of Dr. Turner also includes his practice's attentive and considerate administrative assistants: Amanda and Josina.

Dr. Turner just performed a cervical disk desiccation and I am home recovering. Dr. Turner is very friendly, kind and thorough. I was impressed with him at our first meeting to discuss surgery, and now that the surgery is completed, I feel confident the work he did was exceptional. Very responsive to my questions, and never made me feel rushed. I whole-heartedly give my endorsement to this amazing Doctor.

Having spine surgery can be a frightening experience. You're in so much pain before the surgery and the uncertainty of what you will feel after is enough to rattle your nerves. Dr. Turner was extremely knowledgable with my case and his bedside manner is worth a 10 star review. So happy to have been placed in his care.....my surgery was a huge success! Thanks Doc!

Hi,I meet a fine human and, even a Greater Person. Dr. Turner received me at the Barrows Clinic in PHX. . After His exam, as I was checking Him out, This Man is "The Real Deal".He spoke to me not down to me as He discussed the big boy version what I needed and ASAP. I rose from my chair, looked Him in the eyes and asked "Dr. you think this is my only option" His answer was yes. On my 1st surgical trip and 2nd, the care and concern in the OR, my room as I recovered as well as clinic was above all
