I am 47 years old. I was born with an under sized urethra and between the ages of 13-16 I had 4 different kidney stone attacks. Several were removed manually and I would go monthly for manual dilations to an older dr in my area. I had dilations up till I was 25. Then stopped. For years I didn’t have a steady stream and and never felt emptied. Well a year ago even though I had a small opening in urethra it would take everything I had to go and had small bleeding, and then I felt I had to like I had a full bladder. Dr. ran a couple of tests and said I had a lot of scare tissue. He could dilate me, but instead he said what was best was surgery. Take a piece of inside of mouth check “flesh” and rebuild the urethra and the opening. I was scared I will admit but the doctor always took his time to explain everything twice. First to me and then again to my wife one phone. Going for one year checkup soon. He has made Me feel like a new man an without hardly an problem. Thank you Dr !

Excellent Surgeon. Perfect Doctor. Pain free surgery . Excellent stay at Einstein hospital . My procedure went perfect. Walking easily the next day. I'm a Gulf War Veteran with chronic pain after surgery his pain control left me stress free. I was concerned about added pain a first .Dr. Simhan assured me if I followed his direction I wouldn't have pain from the procedure. He was right I was standing walking to the bathroom without pain. I'll recommend him to everyone including my family. Excellent communication and bedside manner. I'm one grateful patient.
