Dr. Shah is a very nice man. However, when I had an appointment scheduled for 8:00 am he did not make it till 8:42 am with no apologies or explanations. When I recently tried to schedule an appointment because I injured my back, I was told since I had never been seen for this problem my appointment would be in 6 weeks!! Shouldn't 'new' ailments get a sooner appointment. The receptionist told me just to take it easy till then. 6 weeks!!!!!! I am now searching for a new provider.

I had an appointment at Lakeland Primary Care - Royalton on Oct 7. On Sept 30 the office called and said they were dropping all of the new patients that they had already accepted. No apology - just Get Lost. So now I'm stuck trying to find a doctor that will accept my current insurance and the insurance that I'll have in January and then wait 6 weeks for an appointment. Again. I was going to see the doctor about some hearing loss that is suddenly getting worse. I called a specialist and they said that they needed a referral from a doctor. Now my choice is to wait weeks/months more or go to Urgent Care and risk COVID-19 in the waiting room. I'm disgusted with this office. I'm more than disgusted but my mama taught me not to cuss.

Went with my son (early 20s) to an appt for a routine ck-up. He doesn't go to dr's very often & is not comfortable speaking to them so he asked me to go with him. He is high level autistic & social situations are awkward for him. Blood test & check up went well, but because I was there with my son & answering questions that the dr asked cause he wasn't comfortable or knew what to say. This dr made a lot of judgemental assumptions & asking if my son was employed, what he did with his free time, why didn't he have a drivers license, why didn't he live independently etc. We'd just moved to this area. Then he started implying there was a mental issue & gaming addiction & wanted to 'treat' that. We were very upset & shocked & really didn't know what to do. Never had this experience before. It was like the Dr. wasn't happy with a good health report, so was determined to find something else no matter what. My son was embarrassed & I was furious. We fired this dr & never came back.

Dr. Shah was terrible. I went in with concerns regarding my anxiety. I previously went to his colleague and simply wanted a second opinion. When I tried to communicate my concerns, he dismissed me and took offense to my words because I questioned his colleague. He stated that his colleague recommended a psychiatrist so that’s what I should of done. I’m currently in consulting and I feel as if he discriminated against me even before establishing a relationship.

I scheduled a first time appt. to establish a patient relationship. The physical exam was thorough and he answered my extensive amount of questions regarding my health condition and wellness plan. Dr. Shah took the time to answer my questions and demonstrated a genuine concern for my health. The office was clean and the staff was friendly. I plan to build on this new relationship for future health needs.

The SHAH EXPERIENCE: I've worked in the medical field 8yrs. The experience is MUCH different when I walk into an office as a patient. Its amazing how clothing can change a persons perspective when they meet you. I look very different outside of work. However, because of my profession & experience in the field despite the fact that I'm wearing normal every day clothes, my mind thinks like a medical professional & I pay close attention to how I am treated. Three years ago, Dr. Shah agreed to accept my 90+ year old parents into his practice after their previous physician retired. He has treated my parents wonderfully and with sound medical advice. When he is uncertain about whether they understand an instruction, he will give me a call. Likewise, when I have questions, he will always return my call. Both my parents and I feel very secure and comfortable with Dr. Shah's care. I would recommend him unconditionally.

He's a fantastic Dr. My children love him. He's compassionate. I feel like he actually listens to me and my concerns for my childrens health. Doesn't try to force anything on my children. He explains things really well, asks lots of questions and generally the question I had he asked it! He makes me and my family feel really comfortable, it doesn't feel like a hassle going to the doctor. Which my kids enjoy! Overall he's a fantastic Doctor and he truly enjoys his job and it shows!
