Absolutely recommend this Otolaryngolgist. I see him for Ménière’s disease, which many ENT’s don’t see as much of. His educ & training are stellar, he’s a top Clinical Investigator, well published, and listed at least 10 times in America’s Top Doctors. He’s full faculty Professor at UofWA Medical School, and holds patents on novel hearing devices. I know he has a bio technical engineering background so that’s no surprise. He’s sometimes his patients’ last chance at preserving hearing and is highly regarded by his peers. FYI: UofWa Medical Center is one of the finest teaching hospitals in the world and cutting edge research gives patients options that wouldn’t be found at smaller institutions or private practices. Audiologists are a big part of his team, as are PA’s and Resident Medical Students. A patient comes away educated about their disease. Ménière’s disease is difficult to diagnose and they’re thorough. De. R’s a kind man with wonderful bedside manner & good sense if humor

My 86 year old mother, who has battled dizziness and balance issues for 8 years, and I had a terrific experience with Dr Rubinstein last week. After visiting two dozen well respected physicians no one has been able to diagnose my mother, until we met Dr Rubinstein. He took the time to clearly explain what the battery of tests conducted had revealed, his diagnosis, the treatment plan as well as answer all our questions. Although time will tell whether the medications and PT help alleviate the problem, I can't say enough good things about him Dr Rubinstein

Abrupt. Doesn't spend a lot of time with you. Hands you paperwork to read and calls it good. For supposedly being the guy on vertigo, I've had better doctors.

I saw this doctor about a Eustachian tube issue, but it was clear that he had no interest in that. Instead, I was forced into a hearing exam I didn't want or need, or I wouldn't be seen. During the actual 10 minute appointment, he simply read the results of the hearing test and then left the room. It seemed to me that the goal was to get me into a hearing aid for which I had no need. Curiously, shortly thereafter, I started getting numerous mailings from hearing aid companies. Coincidence?

The quality of my life has been reduced as a result of allowing Dr. Rubinstein to perform surgery on me. The outcome I was told to expect was not obtained, the "unlikely" side-effects all became a harsh reality for me. I feel like I would have been better off letting my condition go untreated.

My worst nightmare, while performing a middle fossa craniotomy to repair a superior semicircular canal dehiscence. Dr. Rubenstein punctured my brain with the drill causing injury to the m-3 branch of the middle cerebral artery, which bled unnoticed by Dr. causing a stroke, I was rushed to ICU in Harborview for care with their neurosurgery specialists days later a pseudo aneurysm ( not a natural occurring but an instrument caused aneurysm ) was discovered as a result of the drill injury from Dr R

I would give ZERO stars if I could! I have had vestibular dysfunction for 10 years. After 1 visit with this DR he decided I was faking and only had anxiety, even though the tests he had me take on subsequent visits all show unequivocal, tested truth of multi systems vestibular disorder. These tests are such sophisticated computer technologies they can detect any movements that are "faked". This man judged me on my first visit when I couldn't converse because the degree of vertigo was severe.

Our appointment was very rushed. My biggest complaint other than ear pain and dizziness was overwhelming fatigue, kept repeating that. he diagnosed me with crazy things, and then told me to just keep busy to help the fatigue. I was almost comatose. A month later I found out I had MONO and this doctor said my fatigue concern should not have been shrugged off. So glad I didn't go along with Dr. R, he wanted to put poison in my ear and all kinds of stuff that would have caused permanent damage
