Dr. Toy is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon and specializes in both the operative and non-operative treatment of numerous conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbosacral spine. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, graduating with Honors. After receiving his Medical Doctorate from the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, he went on to complete his Orthopaedic surgery residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. While at Yale, he further cultivated his interest in the complexities of the spine through clinical care and national database research. This interest led to the pursuit of a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where Dr. Toy served as a clinical instructor and was trained in all aspects of spinal surgery.Dr. Toy is dedicated to advancing the field of spine surgery and has authored or co-authored over 30 peers reviewed scientific papers and 4 book chapters. He has participated in the review board of several Orthopaedic journals and has presented his research at regional, national, and international meetings.
