Dr. Maxfield and his staff are very acomodating, helpful and professional. He answered all of my questions, and I believe that he is well versed on all aspects of his specialty. My only suggestion would be to put a power assist on the front door. The door is very heavy, hard to operate, and at my age (79) and state of decreased strength, every time I go in or out of the door while juggling my CPAP I hope that I will not fall to the concrete floor. Thank you for your consideration.

Cancels appointments day of sleep study due to techs who call in. No back ups or oncall staff to support patients schedules. Then only to get rescheduled weeks later hopefully unless both techs call in. Hospitals should have back ups available. I get rescheduled because of a call in so no put out weeks again. Appointments need to be kept and then pushed back for those who farthest away appointments so that those who have waited longest get seen first. If it was a little more inconvenient for medical practices they would be less likely to do it again and again.

We never made it that far. Our experience was the doctor sent a referral form over to him the day we visited our dr. Our doctor said that if we hadn’t heard from them in 3-4 days to go a head and call them. We did, whoever answered the phone and is handling that end of the business needs to find a new career. I simply told her that our doctor had sent a referral over on the 1 st and said if we didn’t hear from them we should call. She snapped and said well we just got your referral and it has t been processed. When we process it we’ll give you a call. She was very hateful. It’s nit what you say it’s how you say it. So now it’s the 12 th still never heard from them and now we’re asking our dr. To refer us to someone else. So I give them a big 0 on healthgrades because they need to improve their communication skills and Learn to be more professional!!! I had to put one star or it wouldn’t let me submit it but it should be 0

I don't know if I caught him during nap time or not but I always kind of got the impression that he was trying unsuccessfully to follow our dialogue. He'd get that dazed, far away look in his eyes when I would mention something that wasn't very exciting, or so it seemed. Or maybe I bored him to tears. I tried but couldn't continue seeing him. I'll switch to Mercy docs.

When I first made an appointment with Dr. McDonald's office I had very little faith that he would be able to make any changes to my medication or daily regiment that would make a difference towards improving my life. But, after being seen by him, and being his patient now for quite some time I can tell you that I was WRONG! He's not only made changes in my medication but I am noticing changes in my daily life. I can say without a doubt that if you suffer with Narcolepsy, he's the one for you.

Literally go anywhere but here. Dr. Maxfield is lazy with no desire to fix a problem. During my office visit he said that he took the route of sleep medicine because it was easy and less demanding than any other field. Getting anything accomplished such as refills or return calls has taken over a week. There is a huge communication problem between him, his nurse, and the patient. No one seems to know what is going on and the patient suffers. Freeman needs a better option.

When I first visited Dr. Maxfield, he did seem a little distant. But in the ensuing years I have been his patient, he is one of my favorites. I did make sure he knew I was an intelligent/smart/proactive patient. He is honest (lectures when necessary); he explains things. When I was having issues, he was so very helpful and tried to help with my insurance. I recommend him to everyone...

I have seen Dr Maxfield or his staff for the five years he has assumed the sleep study responsibilities. This doctor is excellent. I have read reviews on Dr Maxfield and if you just look at his stars, it does not represent who this man is. One star is because he did not call this guy back "personally"! Honestly I have never known doctors that do not have a staff assisting the patients, thats the way it is. You can trust this man and his staff. They are all good people.

The office receptionist and other staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve experienced. I had questions filling out paperwork and the receptionist was extremely helpful and patient with me. I appreciate friendly receptionists that don’t roll their eyes back when asked a simple question and make you feel stupid. And show not only where the office staff extremely friendly the doctor and nurse practitioner were also very helpful, friendly, and informative.

Very strange outcome with visiting his office. On one hand he seemed concerned and wanted to help me, yet could not get him to return call to me. An office member returned call and did not give her full name. If the information she is sharing is correct why would she not give her full name? For those people who like being treated like garbage this is the office for you.

This newbie Dr. is condensing and arrogant! He runs his office like a well oiled uncaompassionate machine. The whole visit felt somewhat like an infomercial for sleep apnea prouducts with assistants who hated their jobs.

Dr. Maxfield sent me a letter stating he would no longer be my doctor and gave absolutely NO reason for this decision. He said he would see me only under emergency conditions for 30 days from the date on the letter. There was no explanation, no reason, NOTHING as to why he was doing this. He also stated that questions regarding the matter would not be answered, not to contact his office. I have a serious case of Complicated Sleep Apnea. I DO NOT recommend him as a doctor or as a decent man.
