I saw Dr Kurian after suffering a level 3 separated shoulder. I told him that I needed a solution that didn't involve taking pain pills. He seemed confused about the fact that I was in pain and explained that most people tolerate the injury without the need for surgery or pain pills. He recommended physical therapy, this didn't work in the end he said he didn't know what was wrong and asked me to see someone else. I got 3 other opinions, all the same "fix surgically," Dr Lamprecht did just that.

dr Kurian was nice, explained what happened, why it hurts and set me up on a pat program to follow. He was nice and very straightforward, I would recommend and didn't have any issues with "bedside" manners I saw in some of these other posts

Dr K gets a 5 from me. Our daughter tore her ACL and we've had 3 appointments with Doc so far, AND he did my daughter's surgery. He has always been professional, concise and did a great job on my daughter's surgery. He wasn't rude as others had commented. He may have not been sympathetic, but that's not his job! I'd recommend him to others! I had a little bit of trouble completely understanding all the medical names and terms but I had to put faith in him that he's done multiple surgeries

Kurian did a SLAP repair and a bicep tendonesis on me 3 weeks ago. After surgery, I realized he had sent me home with a sparce number of pain pills that would not get me through the first two days. He didn't care to help further. He does surgery on fridays also. At my follow up appointment, he was over an hour late seeing me,no explanation or apology. Kurian came into the room looked at my shoulder from the front and said "well looks good." He is very arrogant and lacks bedside manner.

Love Dr Kurian. Diagnosed my problem within a couple of minutes, got me in for an MRI same day. Gave the results the next day (confirming his diagnosis), and had a plan for treatment with surgery as a last resort. Over the moon.

I saw Dr. Kurian for a knee injury/knee pain. I had only injured it the week prior to my appointment. I had seen my PCP who referred me to his office. I was pleased that I was able to get in so quickly. Boy was I shocked. After waiting for almost half an hour he came busting in the door, walked over to me and basically pulled me down flat on the table and started to manipulate my knee. It was so painful it made me cry. He then said I was too emotional and left the room. I will never go back!

I treated with Dr. Kurian a few years ago and, while I don't have any qualms with his surgical talent, I do with his bedside manner ... or lack thereof. On my post-op visits he barely spent any time talking with me. He was not really prone to providing explanations, leading me to have to ask many questions. Often, he seemed impatient with my questions. His manner was short, on the verge of rude. It was not a good experience treating with him and I would not choose him again.

Dr. Kurian is excellent answered all questions to our complete satisfaction. The best run ooperation I have ever seen. Arrived and departed within one hour.

I had a complete shoulder joint replacement with Dr. Kurian. I did all the PT but at 5 months, encountered a lot of pain. Dr. Kurian ordered a CT scan and said everything was ok. But I was still in a lot of pain so my PT exercises were reduced. I continued my weekly PT sessions. At a year, Dr. Kurian said I was cleared. However I still have greatly reduced arm mobility and pain. I went back again at 13 months and Dr. Kurian said that my joint replacement had failed & was I mad? Unbelievable?

Just had the strangest visit with Dr Kurian. Had a case where an MRI came back clear, which was good news, but didn't solve the pain. He gave a diagnosis, which I questioned, because it was the same diagnosis I had for years and the pain was new due to injury. He exclaimed I'm tired of disgruntled patients with my diagnosis, I'm right! and stormed out of the room leaving me sitting there. Wow. Never had that happen before. Crazy. He was litereally in the room for less than 60 seconds.

Had a great experience with Dr. Kurian, felt like he answered all my questions and review all my treatment options and scenarios. Worked with me through my diagnosis, surgery and recovery. Felt like i could always reach him. And his staff was very responsive to my needs.
