Dr. Garber's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Garber "Dr. Garber treats a full spectrum of both intracranial and spinal disorders including: Complex and minimally invasive spinal surgeries, Cervical and lumbar degeneration, Chronic pain conditions, Intrathecal pump placement and dorsal column spinal cord stimulator, Brachial plexus and peripheral nerve disorders, Brain tumors (primary and metastatic) and Pituitary tumors."

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Garber "I am a very conservative Neurosurgeon.  In most cases regarding the spine, surgery should be the last option for a patient, unless there is frank motor weakness or failure of conservative management.

It is also for patients to know that no surgery for the spine will alleviate 100% of pain and or functional deficits.  Any surgeon that tells you that they can alleviate 100% of your pain with surgery is lying to you.  I attempt to set realistic goals for my patients prior to surgery."

Three weeks ago, Dr. Jason Garber performed a Hybrid back surgery on me that included an artificial disc and a fusion. These items replaced two collapsing degenerative discs (L4 to L5 and L5 to S1) that were causing me major sciatic pain down my right side so much that I couldn’t sit down for more...Read More
