Because it had been years my doctors office set up an appointment with Dr. Fowlkes office to discuss a colonoscopy, one thing most people do not want to do. But, my concerns went away after meeting Dr. Fowlkes and his staff, I was treated with great respect and care. Dr. Fowlkes himself has a great bed side manner, he actually sit down and talked with me about my concerns and what to expect. I felt such a relief when I left his office and he was just as caring when I was at the hospital when

If I am going to have a procedure done, have an exam or questions, I like to know the details and what is going on. Dr. Fowlkes does a good job of explaining what is happening or may happen.

I was originally told by Dr. Belton that I needed to see a Gastro Dr. Do to scheduling delays, I was scheduled to see a surgeon. This does cause some concern that there may be a surgical issue. This could have been explained better by one or both offices to reduce patient anxiety.

I can not believe how in the world this Doctor has so many great reviews. He was totally uncaring when treating me. I was in a lot of pain could not eat and was vomiting multiple times a day. My pain was so bad my family took me to ER several times. The last thing Dr. Jason Fowlkes told me was to TOUGH it out till all the tests come back and not to go back to the ER it was a waste of time there was nothing they could do for me. I am totally disgusted with Dr. Fowlkes and Lewis Gale Hospital.

Had a consult with Dr. Fowlkes for my gallbladder and while surgery was not what I wanted to hear, he put me at ease after answering my questions and concerns for the long term effect of having my gallbladder removed. Will def. go back to him should I need another surgery. I liked that Dr. Fowlkes is straight up with the pros and cons.

If you watch the news and listen to the health care debate, doctors seem to be spending less and less time with patients. All too often patients feel unheard. This was NOT my experience with Dr. Fowlkes. He listened! He answered my questions. He took time to ease my considerable anxiety. Do yourself a huge favor. This guy is the real deal! Old school care. I highly, highly recommend!
