Great Experience All Around
Dr. Abel and his staff are true professionals with an office that runs like a well-oiled machine. They made a scary and unpleasant procedure quick and painless. I had three wisdom teeth removed, one of which was impacted and required bone grafting. I had never been put under before and was understandably nervous. However, everyone at the office made me feel so comfortable and relaxed that the next thing I knew I was waking up with a mouth full of gauze. My recovery was very easy. I never needed strong pain meds or was in pain. I would 100% recommend Dr. Abel and his staff to anyone needing oral surgery.

Tooth #2 (upper right jaw) had to be surgically extracted due to an abscess. Dr. Abel and his assistants were very skilled. I honestly felt no pain during the procedure, or after the procedure.

Outstanding -- Two Dental Implants
As my Prosthodontist, Dr. Cord Schlobohm would say: "You are in good hands with Dr. Jared Able (Bethesda Chevy Chase Oral Surgery)." After having two implants done on the same day, I have to agree! I had some discomfort for about 24 hours after the procedure but only had to use three of the ten pain pills that were prescribed. Another benefit was that the abutments to support a dental bridge were installed during the same visit, making an additional surgical appointment unnecessary. Dr. Able is an excellent and highly skilled surgeon and he seems to work very quickly and efficiently. He also has a sense of humor. As I settled into the dental chair, and my first ever implant procedure was about to begin (at age 71), I mentioned to Dr. Able that I would be keeping my eyes closed so I wouldn't have to see what was going on. In the darkness, I heard his response, "Me too!" Every person on Dr. Able's staff that I interacted with was helpful, responsive, and professional.

Dr. Abel is an excellent dental surgeon. He provides very clear explanations and is very professional and caring. Procedure was done quickly. I was surprised I felt very little pain after the procedure (implant + molar pullout). His staff is great too.

Great practice
I have had multiple visits, for extractions, dental implants, and for more complicated removal of a growth in the bone. All procedures were technically superb, and Dr. Abel and his staff were very pleasant in all interactions.

Wisdom Teeth Removal
Dr. Abel was great at making me feel comfortable and assuring me I was going to be fine. He constantly checked up on me after surgery and made sure I was okay. He is great at what he does! My healing process was so easy. 1000% recommend him.

If you are looking for an Oral Surgeon look no further! On 7/28 our dentist recommended removing my 17 yrs old daughter's wisdom teeth. Scheduled a complimentary wisdom teeth consultation on 8/3 and had the procedure on 8/13. They accepted the Pano X-ray the dentist took. Dr. Abel answered all of our questions. The staff responded promptly to all of our calls and emails. They did not take our insurance but worked with us and even have a 12 month no interest financing through a third party. Dr. ABEL has incredible bed side manor. He called later that evening to check on her ( on a Friday ) and was available for our questions and concerns after the procedure. He performed the anesthesia himself. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. Also, he is a comedian too! His corny jokes are free of charge:"Let's see if the teeth grew back", " I carved my initials on one of your teeth". The jokes were appreciated in a time of understandable anxiety.

Dr. Abel is nice and professional. He always kindly explains what he is going to do. So, I feel no discomfort. He always called back when I come home and ask me about the situation after the surgery. I was extremely pleased with Dr Abel and his team. The entire Implant process was seamless and pain free. The staff at this office are so kind and helpful. They really make you feel comfortable. What impressed me most was Dr Abel calling me later that evening to check on how I was feeling. Its truly comforting to know he genuinely cares for his patients. Overall amazing experience. I would highly recommend Dr Abel and his team!
