With having over 35 years experience in health care, Dr. Bateman has treated the effects of excess weight gain and its negative impact on the patient's health, which can lead to medical conditions requiring medication. With modest weight reduction and lifestyle changes patients can decrease and/or eliminate their need for medication which improves their long term health. Dr. Bateman now focuses on helping overweight and obese patients safely and effectively lose weight and keep it off. She colloborated with Dr. Morales to establish Center for Healthy Weight in 2013 to provide customized physician-supervised weight loss plans for men and women 16 years and older.
