Dr. Webb Jr's bio

This content was provided by Dr. Webb Jr "Dr. Webb grew up in rural northeast Oklahoma, received his degree in Biology, manga cum laude from Oklahoma Baptist University. His Medical Doctorate was received after 4 years at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He went on to serve a one year internship in Internal Medicine, a 4 year residency in Diagnostic Radiology and finally a one year fellowship specializing in Musculoskeletal Radiology where he gained extensive experience in interventional pain management. After practicing at Tulsa X-Ray Labs affiliated with Hillcrest Hospital for a year, Dr. Webb took the unusual step of starting a solo, clinically based practice. Most radiologists spend their time reading imaging and few see patients face to face. Dr. Webb was struck by the profound lack of options for medical treatment for osteoporosis patients in Tulsa. Since 2005 he has been a leader in bone health in the Tulsa area. Throughout the years, Dr. Webb has honed his practice to be more focused on with helping osteoporosis patients. He has a unique practice as a radiologist who both diagnoses and treats vertebral compression fractures as well as also medically managing the underlying bone health problems that cause them. This is in distinction to most osteoporosis specialists who don't fix the fractures, and most radiologists who perform kyphoplasty but would never manage the underlying disease. Dr. Webb lives in Bixby with his family. In his spare time, he is also aprofessional singer-songwriter who has had top 40 songs as a writer and artist. He has had two songs in the Billboard Top 60, played at the Ryman Auditorium and shared the stage with artists ranging from Randy Houser to Marshall Tucker Band. "

Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Webb Jr "Helping patients find freedom from pain without surgery or narcotics. We recognize that sometimes patients do need surgery or narcotics but, most of the time they don't. Overall, we have a success rate of over 99% for avoiding invasive spine surgery. We specialize in helping 'hopeless cases'--patients who have been seen by numerous doctors who have not been able to help them. We also see regular patients with pain. We focus on osteoporosis and fixing painful vertebral compression fractures, a woefully under-recognized cause of pain and suffering. All of our patients receive a detailed history and physical exam to help find the source of the pain. We can't help everyone, but we can help almost everyone using this approach. In a world where a patient typically sees a healthcare provider for 5 or 10 minutes, we generally spend 45 minutes to an hour on new patient exams."

I've seen a lot of doctors but he's the first one that did any good for my back. My pain is a lot better and I feel stronger.

My wife was injured on her job and released by Workers Comp while still having pain. I heard Dr Webb advertisement on the radio and she set up and appointment. One of his advertisements speaks of people in pain and not even seeing a doctor. We scheduled an MRI on her back and did not have her...more

While your wife had a bad experience with WC, we had nothing to do with that. The ad talks about people having surgery & not being examined by the surgeon. It's common to wait 1 month to see an in-demand specialists & generally indicates a busy practice. Initially seeing mid-levels is very common. We use this to gather information and see how we can best help our patients. Since you chose not to see me, so I didn't have a chance to help your wife. We would still be happy to help her.

I have had chronic back pain for 20+ years for the first time when I saw Dr Webb's PA did i feel as if someone cared that I had pain. The staff is also very caring and concerned. I brought my previous MRIs for him to look at and first thing he found a problem that even the radiologist had missed...more
