I apologize completely, As a rule we have never double book/overbooked. However, in a dynamic setting during the day there are many unpredictable situations that unfold. I have an obligation to patients to provide the most comprehensive treatment that I can to ensure quality care regardless of reason being seen. It can cause us to run behind, I am perfectly fine with that. If it was your complicated issue you would have received the highest levels of care that our patients are accustomed to.
