He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, and he completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Arizona Department of Psychiatry. While there, he served one year as chief resident. Since 2001, Dr. Van Doren has dedicated his career to practicing psychiatry. He has held various positions in outpatient clinics and inpatient hospitals."

I am sorry that you had such a negative experience. It is always my intention, to be honest, upfront and transparent with my patients. I take great effort in providing excellent care to my patients. There are times when patients disagree with my clinical judgment or my decision not to prescribe the controlled substance they are seeking.
