Dr. Van Doren provided above average care to me. He is extremely competent and was able to build a plan that was holistic and effective. He not only trusted my feelings it was like he understood me. I didn’t feel any judgment from him and would trust any member of my family to him. The relief I felt to find a provider that understood the physical and psychological components of mental health is unique. Thank you for caring for me. I will refer many more to your practice.

I found Dr. Van Dorn to be extremely easy to talk to. He seemed genuinely interested in my well being and shared some pretty awesome insight in regards to my current overall mental health situation. It's almost as if the universe guided me his way. I know that sounds cheesy but it's 100% accurate. He's well versed in his field and is probably going to be my primary provider in the next few weeks or so.

I had the misfortune of having to see Dr. Van Doren once, and I have never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally by a healthcare provider in my life. He was rude, arrogant, condescending, and stated I was just 'trying to get addictive drugs from him'. He then proceeded to prescribe a medication without asking or even informing me that he had done so. The nurse on duty had to explain the medication to me, answer my questions and provide further information...basically do his job for him.

Dr. Van Doren is an avid listener and remembers my concerns and considerations from previous appointments even though I am a relatively new patient. I am impressed by his knowledge. He has the best interests of the patient in mind and considers patents' needs and individual treatment plans with caution yet proactive solutions. I highly recommend Dr. Van Doren and his expertise and am grateful that I have found him among the many psychiatrists out there who don't seem to be so in tune.

I would highly recommend Dr. Van Doren to anyone seeking help for ADHD or attention disorders. He was very thorough and set me up with a treatment plan that was right for me. I live in a very rural area where I don't have access to a specialist so it was nice to see someone who understood my mental health needs. I am able to easily check back in with him and adjust my treatment plan. Highly recommend

Dr. Van Doren was condescending, assumptive, and unwavering in his self assured believe in his powers of perception. During a discussion about what services I wanted from him and how it fit into my treatment plan spanning multiple providers he called me a liar, drug seeker, and insulted my appearance among other things. Seems nice enough, but this interaction was highly inappropriate and I am no longer a patient.

I'm a university student and since I began seeking mental health resources, Dr. Van Doren was the first psychiatrist I have met with that was actually willing to listen to me about my conditions instead of simply looking at my chart and making decisions from there. His method of practice is how all Psychiatrists should practice. I now realize this sounds like a paid review but honestly this was and is my experience. 10/10 psychiatrist, would and will recommend.
