He is an amazing surgeon , the best Retina surgeon around. He however needs to do a little work on his bedside manner, but his staff is truly Amazing. If it wasn't for his staff and his perfection for surgery I'm not sure I'd go back. But employees like Ashley and Gilbert make it worth my while every time

couldn't ask for better professional help BUT the wait was entirely too long, waited 1 1/2 hours before being seen. was advised to wear a jacket as office was chilly. The office was COLD, there were not enough chairs to seat all patients either. Almost left office without being seen I was so frustrated. Glad I waited as Dr. Staman and assistants were great!

Dr Staman is a very pleasant doctor he knows what he is doing he feels to important to share the details your condition with you. Shut up and pay the bill and do what your told. you have no part of the decision making process The office sends a bill for services already paid for if you visit the office once every 6 months they send you a bill every month recreate charges and argue with you that you owe this money even though you have proof you paid it.

I like Dr. Shaman but sometimes gen doesn't explain what his thought process isn't to the patients so that the patient has a CLEAR understanding of the possible procedures they'll be going through. Sometimes I feel like you can ask him any question so because he gets flustered and becomes slightly rude. Staff is always amazing though. That's why I keep coming back. Aurelia is so great inside the exam rooms.

Dr. Staman is the only Retina specialist I would ever recommend he has been the only dr that has saved my vision from the retina problems I had, now I am trying to get my daughter to him.
in Yulee, FL |
Dr. Staman was very concerned with my retinal detachment and went above and beyond to get me into surgery to get it fixed.
St Augustine, FL |
The staff was very calming and personal. Dr staman was thorough in his exam and made me feel at ease when seen by him.
in St Marys, GA |
Staff is excellent very helpful and caring. Dr. Stamin is great. Though the wait is absolutely ridiculous. Extremely overbooked for the time each Dr. takes with patients Either more doctors, bigger building with better parking or book appts according to actual treatment time required. The only game in the area should know not to add stress to their already stressed out patients.

Dr. Staman makes me feel at ease and unafraid. I know that I am being treated by someone who is caring and is interested in my best care. He and his staff are just wonderful. I appreciate them all so much!!
in Jacksonville, FL |
Very thorough and took time to explain my issue so that I knew my option with all the necessary information.
in Jacksonville, FL |
A real "take charge " Doctor. Great attitude and hard worker. I feel everything is under control when I get to the office and he finally takes me in.
Fernandina Beach, FL |
A move to Florida after multiple retinal detachments and procedures in another state was made much easier knowing that Dr. Staman and the Florida Retina Institute were here to carry on with my vision monitoring. Would definitely recommend to others who need this level of care.
in St Marys, GA |
Very thorough and insightful. Friendly and polite with a personal touch that sets great physicians apart. Genuine concern was evident immediately and I was able to get in with no wait time. I highly recommend this physician. He seemed to have a great rapport with his staff and that always makes me believe they are a family instead of an office full of employees that only tolerate each other.
in St Augustine, FL |
Great office staff, Dr. Staman took care of my emergency eye treatment. He is a down to earth doctor that cares about the patient. Would say Dr. Staman and his staff are the BEST!
in Jacksonville, FL |
This is a round a bunch of patients in and let them wait hours to see
in Amelia Island, FL |
A professional that provides rational advise to his patients
Jacksonville, FL |
Office is constantly so overbooked that wait times are well past appt time sometimes by hours. It appears their time is valuable but patients time is not. Called for appt and tried to get a morning an was told Dr was overbooked all day. It appears they overbook every day. Dr Staman is not friendly and shows very little compassion or concern for patients and their anxiety. Was obviously annoyed by any questions or difficulty with exam.
in Jacksonville, FL |
The wait times are absolutely ridiculous it's an all day ordeal more drs or less appointments would be helpful. I find dr staman to be very rude short and cold with no compassion for any fear or anxiety you have.
Jacksonville, FL |
Dr. Stamen and his staff are highly professional. However, the excessive wait time - hours at each appointment -- is unacceptable, and I would warn others of this problem.
