I have had two acl repair surgeries on each knee performed by dr slauterbeck, and in both cases the results were amazing. First surgery was done when I just turned 16, and I was back to one hundred percent shortly after 6 months with no limitations. The second surgery was performed approximately...more

You won't find a more talented surgeon in the area. After my surgery I told people who had performed it and could not believe how many people he has helped.

"The screw was 2 mm underneath the surface. We left it in place" Those are words from my ACL operative report from Dr. Slauterbeck. After a month of my knee violently giving way I had another surgery with Slauterbeck. It did not resolve the problem. A 3rd surgery with Dr. Boynton (Rutland)...more

We're sorry to hear this. Knee pain after ACL injury/reconstruction is common. Up to 80 percent of people experience knee pain as a result of post-traumatic knee osteoarthritis. ACL screw head design hasn't changed in 20 years. The screws we use are state-of-the-art and a standard design. Removal of hardware can be difficult for many reasons. It may take longer than expected and be difficult if the screw is deep in the bone or is stripped during removal. Please call 802-847-3500 to talk to us.
