Dr. Slater has operated on my father. He implanted his LVAD 4 years ago, and recently replaced a portion of the device. Dr. Slater spends time explaining procedures to patient and family. After the surgery with Dr. Slater my recovery is so smooth that I don't feel any discomfort. No pain, no sufferring, in my third week I can do anything as usual and my regular doctor let me drive on the fourth week. I started light exercise in the fifth week and rehars are following.
