Saw 4 or 5 times out of desperation. Southern Louisiana and Tulane’s insurance plans don’t give you much choice. He is PERPETUALLY triple booked, spouted conspiracy theories at every appointment, eats lunch during appointments. If you are on a stable regimen of meds, need refills till you find a functioning psychiatrist, and don’t mind wasting hrs because of the triple booking, he’s fine. Especially if you are curious about the connection between Korea and Hillary Clinton.

I saw Dr.Sholtz several years ago in McComb MS. He was 1 of only 2 psychiatrists I've ever seen that I've liked and trusted. Since he relocated, I've had the worst mental health treatment you could imagine. He was friendly, courteous and explained what he did and why he did it thoroughly. I have missed him and his treatment. I'm going to make an appointment with him tomorrow. I cannot wait to see a knowledgeable, professional psychiatrist again who truly cares.

I saw Sholtz or more than 6-7 years. I was discharged without any notice. I had to go to the office to get a letter of reason for discharge, all it said was, I should see another Dr. without delay and continue my treatment due to my diagnosis, he was sorry he could no longer see me. No reason for the discharge was given, no referrals or other names of Dr's U can see, he tells me I can NOT just stop my medication for depression, anxiety, panic. Horrible Dr. !!!

I am never one to leave a review for anything, but thought it was necesssary for this doctor. He is extremely unprofessional, but the worst part of the office is the the cancellation policy. I had an appointment on a Monday morning at 8:30am and got called into work late Sunday. I was charged a $75 fee for not cancelling 24 hours in advance and was told I should have left a voicemail over the weekend. This appointment was obviously not worth losing my job, but the fee is not being removed.

Dr Scholtz is a rude, self centered, jerk of a Dr. His first words to me were, if you are here for disability, I can’t jelp you. No, I’m here for depression! After 1st visit of 45min and he barely asked me questions about myself and only talked about his own back pain since 1986, I knew I didn’t want to go back. I decided to give him 3 OV. He was on my ins. He just wrote Rx trying different ones and overdosing me. If you value your life, (or don’t) DO NOT GO SEE SCHOLTZ!!’

Very good doctor. Wait times often lag, but this is because he actively talks and listens to patients. Explains symptoms, medications, and disorders thoroughly. The staff is friendly and courteous.

Since the relocation to his new office suite at 641 Rivers Highland Blvd, Covington, LA Sholtz has turned up the "move patients faster" motive even more. Though the system and its Powers That Be-mediated legislation force him to do this, while slowly but surely stripping us medical doctors of our autonomous authority as free-thinking educated professional individuals over the past six or so years, my multidisciplinary observation on 29th August 2017 dealt a devastating blow to me, patient of 5 y

I am very pleased with Dr. Sholtz. He takes the time to listen and prescribes meds as needed not just to write scripts. I have recommended him to many people who are just as pleased with his care.
