Dr Ryder took care of my wife's broken wrist in the ER. We had a typical wait--ERs are (understandably) never the speediest when the injury isn't life threatening. But...here's the reason for my review. We saw an orthopedic surgeon a few days later who asked what ortho did the reduction and put the splint on, because the quality of work wasn't what they normally see from ER work. Perfect alignment of the broken bones and a perfectly custom fitting splint. Dr Ryder is our hero!

Saw Dr. Ryder today in the ER. Terrible bedside manors. Would not listen to my symptoms, only blamed my condition on smoking. I clearly have allergies but his only diagnosis was asthma. Never even looked into my ears, nose or throat. We had been very happy using the new Mother Francis hospital on South Broadway, but now not sure we will ever return. A total waste of my deductible.

This doctor was condescending, abrupt, did NOT listen to my concerns-dismissed them, treated me w/sedatives to calm me down. Denied I had any lung condition & I asked him to treat what I was sure (I have exp.) was a staff infection on my hand-my doc found I had Pleurisy, acute bronchitis & sure enough-as staff infection. If he had treated me with dignity & respect & objectively looked at the symptoms & taken me seriously-he could have ended my pain & suffering & kept a contagion from spreading.
