He completed his medical degree at The University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, MS. He completed his surgical residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He was an instructor in Surgery at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. Dr. Rooks is a Jackson naive. In his free time, he enjoys life with his wife and four children, fishing,cycling and being active in his Church and the Knights of Columbus."
