I have no hesitancy whatsoever in recommending Dr. Pellicane to family and friends. My greatest fear was pain and I had none of it during or after the two procedures - one lumpectomy and one chemo port insertion. I found Dr. Pellicane to be frank and open, willing to take time to answer questions and discuss surgery issues. He never made me feel rushed when discussing issues or answering my questions. I wanted a surgeon who specialized in one area and was very pleased with him and his work!

Had Fibrocystic breasts. Doc didn't mention Progesterone crème, “Danazol”, B6 or a low-salt diet, which could help. He suggested Evening Primrose Oil, but I asked about Borage Oil instead, but he hadn't heard about that either. He did mention avoiding caffeine, but I found no actual studies online with CONTROLLED CLINICAL TRIALS to date that had proven that caffeine is an independent risk factor for fibrocystic breasts. As someone that specialized in breasts, he knew very little. Left him.

I have been seeing Dr. Pellicane for at least 5 years. After finding a lump in my right breast and having an ultrasound and mammogram, I never even received a phone call from Dr. Pellicane's office. office. I had to call them and all I got was a phone message from his nurse. In fact, I received a form letter from Bon Secours stating my mammogram was normal. I went for a 2nd opinion and can't believe the difference in care. The lump was nothing, but piece of mind and compassion iis important too!

Dr. Pellicane really cares about his patients as he's very patient, informative and easy to reach. He performed a lumpectomy for me last year which went very well. He is definitely the best doctor anyone can find in Richmond area.

Dr. Pellicane is by far the best!! He diagnosed me with breast cancer last June & he really took a lot of time with my husband & I to discuss my plan of attack. He was very informative & patient. He has a wonderful beside manner & is a fantastic surgeon. He has done two surgeries on me including a double massectomy. I was just in to see him for my follow up, he again was very patient, very pleasant & I felt like he totally understood where I was coming from & what I had been feeling.
