Dr. O'Toole's bio

This content was provided by Dr. O'Toole "Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA with formal education from the University of Notre Dame and Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. O'Toole began his plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh as the first surgeon fellowship-trained for body contouring after weight loss. Dr. O'Toole continued his extensive training in New York City with the largest and longest running practice of its kind, Long Island Plastic Surgical Group, PC, as their Plastic Surgery Chief Resident. There, he was at the forefront of developing direct-to-implant breast reconstruction techniques to evolve the way breast cancer surgery was typically performed. The experience he obtained working with and learning from some of the finest surgeons in the world was the perfect foundation to springboard his plastic surgery career. While in New York, Dr. O'Toole made great strides learning about historically successful surgical methods. Over time, he took those methods a step further and began applying new, innovative surgical techniques to advance his patient's treatment. Specifically, his breakthrough approach with breast cancer incisions, lift procedures, direct-to-implant breast reconstruction, and wound care, has changed the way modern plastic surgery is performed today. Unlike other, more traditional-minded surgeons, Dr. O'Toole's progressive approach combines the aesthetic-centered techniques of a cosmetic surgeon with medically centered practices to create a more beautiful end result. His patients report time and time again that not only are they thrilled with the end result, but they know that their happiness, comfort and safety are Dr. O'Toole's top priority. O'Toole Plastic surgery focuses on each individual patient and takes great care to listen to the patient and will present the most advanced options to address any given clinical issue. Patients are provided options and they are then free to chose the treatment that works best for them, in their unique circumstance."
