Dr. Oleary did a total reverse shoulder replacement on me in May of this year. He did a wonderful job. I have had virtually no pain post surgery. Only some soreness and some tightness. I am back to doing my normal things now and am totally pain free. He is a very friendly and knowledgeable surgeon and I would recommend him to anybody.

I had a great experience with Dr. O Leary for my shoulder surgery. He covered all of my options, took the time to listen to all my concerns and answered all of my questions. I am now on the road to recovery with no pain and he has clearly stated how my recovery will progress.

Dr. O’Leary has done two minicus surgeries for me years ago and one week ago a partial knee replacement. I will have the other knee done in a few months. O’Leary and the Midlands Ortho Staff have always done an exceptional job. I have had nothing but positive results with all my surgeries. In addition I have many tennis friends who have had their knees done by O’Leary and I’ve never gotten a bad report from them. I highly recommend Dr. O’Leary and Midlands Orthopedics!

knee replacement is a process as I am learning. Right after surgery, there is a good bit of pain that I was not quite prepared for, but it subsides over time. It is important to do rehab and also rehab on your own. I learned to push as much as possible and I believe that has helped my ongoing recovery. Dr. O'Leary encourages this and it works.

I would never have believed that Total Knee Replacement could be so easy and uncomplicated. Dr O’Leary and his entire staff were absolutely wonderful. I was up walking actively, without assistance after less than 1 week post surgery. I could not recommend and endorse Dr O’Leary’s treatment any stronger.

My right shoulder was injured while working as a Deputy Sheriff. The damage to my shoulder and comfort level steadily deteriorated over my career in law enforcement, to the point where I could no longer sleep at night and had lost strength in the arm. Dr. O'Leary examined me and advised that he could restore much of shoulder to its original condition. The surgery was easy and recovery was as uneventful as Dr. O'Leary had led me to believe. Wish I had done it 40 years ago. Thank you so much.

Dr. O Leary fully explained my condition and treatment options. I chose a partial knee replacement. Dr. O Leary explained the surgery and what to expect during both immediate and extended recovery. He won my confidence right away as a highly skilled surgeon with extensive experience in knee replacements. He has put together a great team of professionals including the pre-op, post-op and physical therapy dept. Many thanks to Dr. O Leary and his staff. Five weeks post-op and feeling great.

Dr. O Leary is AWESOME! He explained exactly what to expect after surgery. True to his word, it all fell in place just like he said it would. I would definitely recommend him. I wish I had total knee replacement sooner in life. I am able to do more now then ever before!

I recently had total knee replacement surgery at Midlands Orthopaedics. I have great respect & appreciation for my surgeon, Dr. O’Leary. I love his matter-of-fact style, telling it like it is, not sugar coating his communications with me. Before & after the surgery I was full of questions & he was always very patient & pointed me to several valuable sources of info. Also, Midlands Ortho is a great practice. That place runs like the finely tuned machine that it is! LOVE the Lexington PT family!

Dr. O’Leary did surgery to repair my rotator cuff in March. It was a very painful recovery but he was awesome in every step of the way. I am now feeling much more human and on the way to a full recovery. I would highly suggest him as your Orthopedic Doctor!

Dr. O'Leary performed partial knee replacement surgery on both knees within 12 weeks of each other. I would highly recommend him. He won me over after my first visit with him and realizing his extensive knowledge about knee replacement. I had been told in Hendersonville, NC that I needed full replacement. Dr. O'Leary said I was a perfect candidate for partial. With the number of these that he has done and his treatment of me both pre and post op, I would definitely return to him.

I have been having problems with my right knee. Most of the damage was due to osterarthritis, & then tearing both meniscus tendons & popliteal tendon in my early 70's. Yes, I was in pain when I met Dr. O'Leary. Together we went the conservative routes of exercise & shots for pain every 6-9 months. I finally agreed to surgery. Why I didn't do it sooner I'll never know, I should have. PT before & after surgery are the secret & the answer to a rapid & good recovery. 2 month & 3 days to walking.

My family and I have been going to Dr. O Leary for over 20 years for all of our orthopedic needs. He sits down with you regarding your situation and gives you options to consider. He involves you in the decision making process of your care. I recently had shoulder surgery and my recovery time was awesome. He has done two knee replacements on my husband and couldn't have asked for a better physician.

I am so pleased with the outcome from my total knee replacement. At one month I have been able to resume my normal lifestyle. I was able to switch to Tylenol at 5 days after surgery, have only a small scar, completed goals in therapy at 4 weeks, and only used a walker and no cane for 4 days. I am careful and realize that a knee replacement is a 12 month recovery time. It was well worth the 8 month wait to have the excellent care/skill of Dr. O'Leary and his staff and therapists at Midlands.
