After double knee replacement in Worcester by another surgeon, and having developed an infection shortly thereafter, Dr. Nairus performed a successful revision that saved me many months of pain and anguish. Years later I followed him to Boston for a hip replacement. I cannot say enough about the successful experience that I again had. The man is an artisan in his profession. I have recommended him to many friends and associates.

Dr. Nairus performed a successful partial left knee replacement surgery and also a successful total right knee replacement on me. He also replaced both my Mother’s knees and hip successfully. I am in my 50’s and have severe Osteoarthritis and bone degeneration coupled with being active in sports, hiking and biking my whole life. I wouldn’t have chosen any other surgeon in the world to do my surgeries. Dr. Nairus is the best! He is extremely precise, professional, experienced and is a total expert in his field of joint replacement and Orthopedic surgery.

I’ve had a hip and a knee replaced by Dr Nairus over the past six years. The procedures went smoothly. Recovery times were exactly as he said. It was almost as though he was a clairvoyant. He’s no nonsense with a great bedside manner. I’ve two friends I’ve recommended to him and their experiences have been the same. Plus, there is no other hospital with a lower infection rate than the Baptist. He is the guru of orthopedics.

This is my second knee replacement surgery by Dr James Nairus, and have been totally satisfied with the results. Knee replacement isn’t an easy process, but is an improvement to continuous increasing pain from joint wear.

I had knee replacement surgery done at NEBH with Dr Nairus. 9 months later I am pain free and was able to resume all previously lost activities. At 18 weeks I was able to go on a 5 mile round trip hike in the Rocky Mountains with my son for the 1st time in 15 years. Having an office in metro West also a plus. Highly recommend Dr Nairus.

I would like to commend Danielle, Dr. Narius assistant. She is the best. She properly diagnosed my condition where St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, failed to see even after x-rays. In my book she is excellent, professional, caring, clearly explaining my hip condition and my treatment plan. I left that office knowing I was in good hands. CLOAN HER!!!!

Dr. Nairus replaced my right hip 14 years ago and I have not had one day of problems. He was outstanding in every phase of the ordeal. Explaining everything to my wife and I and putting our minds at ease. I would recommend him and have recommend him to many people.

I have no complaints about Dr. Nairus but to schedule a surgery is not easy. Called Meghan=she never answers her phone, called at least 5 times, left multiple voicemails=no return calls. My concern = if it is this difficult to reach someone just to schedule a surgery, what happens if I have a problem?

I had my left hip replaced by Dr, Nairus on November 1, 2017. I had done months of research to make my final decision. Dr, Nairus was very patient and understanding with my fear- not arrogant and annoyed like one other orthopedist I visited. After the surgery, I literally had ZERO pain -only minor stiffness. This was partly because I never stopped exercising before the surgery - in fact I went on a 320 mile, 3 day bike ride about 6 weeks b/4 the surgery. I could hardly walk but I could ride

Hip replacement surgery with Dr. Nairus went very well. Incision was a "work of art" and healed quickly. He was attentive to my concerns both before and after surgery. Answered all my questions. Members of the surgical team supportive just prior to the surgery. Nursing staff at the Baptist Hospita were great. Returning for a second surgery within a year of the first. I strongly recommend Dr. Nairus.

Highly recommended however I feel his staff is totally inept Three calls to and one month to get test results is just too much. Each time I called, I was told to call back in one week if I do not hear from the doctor! Really? After three calls I asked my PCP to find me another doctor. So, they called his office for me. I called again too. I thought he was going to call me when the test results were made available. I felt I was trying to nail down someone that owed me money.

I have been having severe pain when following my treatment plan. My physical therapist had several concerns. The therapist called the office twice and left a message and faxed a report to him. After 1 week dr Nairus has not contacted the therapist. I called and was put on hold for 22 minutes. I told the secretary about my problem. She called me back and said dr Nairus wants me to continue with the therapy. I find this unprofessional and feel abandoned as a patient.
