I had arthroscopic ankle ligament repair on both ankles. I was back to playing soccer in 3 months. My trainer was amazed and so am I!
Dr. McWilliam is a kind, caring and personable individual who is also an excellent orthopedic-foot/ankle surgeon. His mastery of the anatomy and function of the foot and ankle are remarkable. Despite being busy, he takes as much time as needed to listen to the patient and to carefully explain the alternatives. I came to him with a complex ankle problem that required equally complex treatment modalities.
in Mount Vernon,NY |
Dr. Mcwilliam did my reconstructive foot surgery. In every encounter with him he displayed patience, compassion and understanding as if I were the only patient he had to deal with. I would reccomend anyone in need of his services to go to him. He was the epitome of what one wants in a medical doctor.

Dr. McWilliam is very skilled in his profession, I had ankle replacement surgery which resulted in a few wound issues which is common and has now improved significantly. Dr. McWilliam answered all of my questions even called me while he was away on vacation to address my concerns. He is an excellent Doctor and Surgeon and I highly recommend him.

Dr McWilliams is a rare type of doctor that truly cares.
Sometimes he can be too quick at first, but I can always flag him down to spend more time on an issue.

He was up front with me on everything about my injury and walked me through all the steps. He worked closely with my physical therapist and provided exercises as well as followed my progress. He made me feel comfortable with the whole process and did amazing with the surgery. As a plus, he saved my tattoo with the incisions, which made me very happy.

excellent doctor and trust worthy
I have ankle pain and swelling for 6 months. No one could tell me whats wrong. I thought I was going crazy. Even the MRI didn't help. Another doctor told me I needed surgery. Dr Mcwilliam said I have rheumatoid arthritis. He sent me to another specialist for medicine. No surgery and I am much better.
I have pain and swelling in my foot for 6 months. No one could tell me what was wrong. My family thought I was crazy. Even the MRI was confusing. He diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis and sent me to another specialist for medication. I am almost 100% better.
in New Rochelle, NY |
Excellent surgeon, easy to contact, excellent bedside manner (better than all the other orthopedic surgeons I have seen)
in Yonkers, NY |
I was not at all satisfied. He kept me waiting a long time, contradicted the diagnosis from 2 previous doctors without even taking a new x-ray, and did not explain the reason for his difference of opinion.
