I like Dr McHale. He spent plenty of time with me and was very informative. On the other hand, his staff is less than nice and way too business like and unfriendly. I got the impression that I was taking up their time. Especially the woman at the front desk. They just want to get you in and out. If it wasn't for the fact that I like the doctor, I would not go back. I felt very uncomfortable around the staff. There definitely needs to be improvement there.

I have been a patient of Cols Ophthalmology Associates for many years and a patient of Dr McHale's for over 5 years. When I developed bilateral cataracts he was superb in explaining my options and most importantly listening to my specific needs and questions. As I work under magnification it was imperative that my intraocular lens compliment my magnification loupes for my detailed daily work. He was absolutely fantastic in working with me to this end. I never felt rushed at any time.

It was a pleasure having him as my doctor. He was very professional. He explained everything about the procedure in terms I could understand. His staff is very well trained and surgery was very comfortable. Him and his staff, during surgery, made you feel like you were in good hands so I was not nervous at all. In fact I was awake during surgery and able ask questions about what they were doing. So I would highly recommend Dr. Mchale highly.

Over my 20 years in their care, Dr. McHale & the whole staff at Columbus Ophthalmology have always great! Even after I moved from Columbus 5 years ago, I but still make the 55 mile drive to continue as a C.O.A. patient!

I have been going to Dr. McHale since 2009 and every experience has been good. I had a scary experience with a viterous gel sac detachment in my left eye 5 years ago and its now happening to my right eye. I was able to get in right away when I called and it has been throughly explained to me and I always leave feeling confident in my evaluation by him. I can trust him with my eyecare and will continue to.
