After seeing me for a few minutes McGlowan deduced that even though I had a herniated disc with a bone fragment as well as 2 vertebrae in retrolithesis that all I was suffering from was a lumbosacral strain and following continued physical therapy I was good to return to work. This was completely the opposite of the neurosurgeons findings and suggested course of care. As McGlowan is being compensated by Workmans Compensation his services are bought and paid for and NOT reliable. DONT TRUST HIM.

Worse physician I have ever seen. Visit was about 5 minutes long and during visit he was eating his lunch.. Not professional, very poor in listening and didn't seem to concern about my level of pain. Recommend you pick another Ortho physician

I had severe pain in my shoulder that radiated down my arm into my hands and around my shoulder blade. Dr. McGlowan sent me for an MRI and knew immediately what my problem was. He gave me a cortisone shot but unfortunately it didn't work and I had shoulder surgery appoximately a month later and within about 2-3 days after surgery I removed the sling and began using my arm. At my 10 day visit my arm was feeling slightly sore but I had full movement with no physical therapy. He is a God send!

This man is a godsend! my shoulder was absolutely destroyed. Other doctor was saying replace the shoulder. Dr. McGlowan worked a miracle and saved my shoulder! Here we are one month and 6 days later and I have full motion! I am not a youngster either I am 51 and he is my savior! It is wonderful to be able to sleep pain free!

Dr McGlowan performed a complete Right knee Surgery on me this year in Feburary 2016. During my stay in the hospital he had a CPM machine on me that bent my knee to a 90 % level, after that I went to a rehab for 2 weeks which he ordered them to have me in the CPM machine for 3 times a day 2 hours at each time & PT When I left the rehab I was almost at 100% bend in my knee! He is very caring, explains everything thourghly, excellent surgeon, I recommend him to everyone, your in excellent hands!
in Dorchester, MA |
He gave me my dance legs back! Great guy. 6 weeks after the date of surgery I am able to walk without the use of a cane. I have had only one day of physical therapy. Recovery has been super speedy due to his proficiency and expertise in his field.
in Avon, MA |
Dr. McGlowan had done a triceps repair and now a rotator cuff and biceps tendon repair. Although he talks a little fast, if you need clarification, ask him a question he will answer it. If you are a sports person, he is the man to see. Some orthopedic surgeons (I have been to many) do not understand the thinking of a person who is actively involved with sports, Dr. McGlowan does.
