Care Philosophy

This content was provided by Dr. Martens "My philosophy is to provide each patient with an individualized plan of care.  That means taking the time to listen and answer all your questions.  I will always choose non-operative treatment when appropriate.  If surgery is necessary, you can be sure you will understand the procedure, expected outcomes, and anticipated recovery first.  I look forward to the opportunity to take care of your Orthopaedic needs."

Patient Comments (11)

Dr. Martens is not a good choice unless you want to be left with an ugly scar. His suturing techniques need improvements. He should stay clear of scar revisions if he doesn’t have the skills to make them better.

I'm sorry you are disappointed but I'm not sure your review is a fair representation. You have a history of keloid scar formation from other surgeries that I didn't do. So I disagree that your scar has anything to do with my technique or skill and more to do with your healing. Please consider some of the nonsurgical treatments available for keloid's such as steroid injections, silicone, cyrotherapy, retin-A, etc. As we discussed a dermatologist or plastic surgeon can help you with those.
