I am a nationally competitive athlete that reached out to Dr Larson, who is now working out of Winchester, VA, after injuring my shoulder. He was supportive of attempting as much conservative treatment as possible, before we finally considered surgery. He was informative regarding the actual injury, surgery, and realistic expectations for recovery. He was incredibly empathetic of my own goals for after surgery. I highly recommend him to anyone with a shoulder injury!

Terrible doctor. Didn't listen, didn't clinically exam me properly (no bending tests), didn't even try to diagnose my disorder. Not sure he can actually read an MRI... just goes with what the radiologist says, even if it doesn't add up. Questions were not answered, he just looked at me like a deer in headlights. I am going to Johns Hopkins to see a REAL doctor. If you waste time with this doctor, or with any in Winchester for that matter (he is in Winchester VA now, not PA), then Good Luck!
Sorry the visit was not what you expected. I assure you that I do read MRI's. It sounds as though you were in to see me for a problem with your spine since you mentioned bending tests. Unfortunately, in that case, I am not a spinal surgeon and do not treat spinal disorders. In these situations I refer people on to the proper specialists instead of wasting your time and money with exam and imaging outside of my specialization.

I'm was a blue collar worker unable to work because of F.A.I. The pain in my hip was to severe to do the basics of my job. I went to see. Dr. Larson, and he was detailed in explaining the problem . The day after the operation I told my wife there was something different, I have woke up the first time in years without pain. I could actually sit down comfortably. There was so little trauma that I didn't need pain pills. 8 months later I 'm able to do my job pain free for the first time in years.
