If you're looking for bedside manner or great, outgoing personality, this isn't the doctor for you. If you want a doctor who can replace both hips and do it correctly, he's a great pick. He did mine 14 years ago (with early onset arthritis at age 46) and I have done great. He was definitely the right pick for me and I was grateful for him giving me my mobility back.

Doctor Holtzclaw repaired the meniscus in both my knees. I am very pleased with the outcome. All is back to normal and I can exercise again. He does excellent work. His staff is friendly and helpful. I felt well cared for.

My 83 yr old mother needed a hip replacement so I flew her from Delaware to Savannah for surgery. After many recommendations I chose Dr. Holtzclaw and I am so grateful for his excellent surgical skills and conscientious clinical follow-up of care. My mom's surgery was on June 14th and she flew home July 15th! My mother and I are so grateful for the total care from Dr. Holtzclaw and his staff. I also appreciated the ease with using the portal to email questions to Risa, Dr. Holtzclaw's nurse.

Lazy skips steps
Awful. I have never had a worse experience with a doctor. I was sent for a 2nd opinion regarding needing hip surgery based on my other doctors exam & MRI. Holtzclaw didn't examine me, wrongly diagnosed me, he didn't ask about the symptoms of his diagnosis or anything before abruptly leaving. I tried to change doctors but wasn't approved. I went back for my follow up, still in pain because he never fixed anything. And again with no exam he told me there's nothing wrong and walked out on me. Awful
